Coral Garden
The dive site starts at a depth of 2 mts and slopes down to a maximum depth of 15-20mts. As the name suggests, this spot consists of a wonderful coral garden (hard and soft corals) inhabited by countless species of fish and small aquatic creatures making it an Eldorado for macro photographers. It is also a super snorkelling spot - well suited for a snorkelling trip during the surface interval between dives or for non-divers. Besides the usual reef fish there are several kinds of moray eels, porcupine fish, ghost pipe fish, octopuses, nudibranches and sometimes white- and black tip reef sharks pass in this dive spot. |

Padang Bay
$115 per Diver 2 Dives Blue Lagoon It is a very good place to start diving again after a pause. In shallow water in the depth of three until five meters you can exercise your buoyancy first on a sandy slope and visit afterwards a wonderful wall which is falling down until 30 meters. Here you will notice a variety of healthy hard and soft corals and a lot of smaller critters which tend to stay in more sheltered areas. On this boat dive you can see a lot of gorgonians, shrimps and prawns, sweetlips, perch, scorpion fish, frog fish and the blue and yellow striped ribbon eel and lots of colourful nudibranches. In 20 meters you can visit sometimes sleeping reef sharks and from august to September you can look of Mola mola. |
Pura Jepun
Jepun itself is shallow water coral reefs with all the coral fish babies are easily to be seen at 5 meters depth. Blue spotted stingray and crocodile fish are often seen at the twin rock. Start the dive from sandy beach or if you dive from boat, jump to water close to aqua's bottle mooring buoy. This shallow enough, around four meters. And continued your dive to cover the shallow reef or you can go to the sandy slope where you can find scattered coral reefs with small fish. Visibility of Pura Jepun is good enough, 10-20 meters, but sometime drop to 5 meter. Sometimes there is a current here that bring you to the Blue Lagoon. Ferry Channel
The Channel dive site is situated just in front of Padang Bai beach very close to the dive shops. It is reachable by boat in less than 2 minutes. It is possible to dive there with an open water course. It is a nice plateau about 18 meters deeps with numerous small caves where whitetip reef sharks love to rest during day time. You can expect to see also turtles, seahorses and much more. Enjoy this wonderful Bali dive site! This location is a Reef. You can dive The Channel all year long... |

Jemeluk
Amed lies to the south, along the eastern coastline. It was traditionally dependent on salt-panning and fishing, and despite the arrival of tourists it's retained that feeling. There are three main dive sites here: head south to the shipwreck at Lipah fishing village, or a bit further south to the drift dive at Gili Selang, Bali's easternmost point.

Drop off
The Drop-Off at the eastern tip of Jemeluk Bay is, as the name suggests, a steep slope that drops down into the depths. The slope itself is an interesting dive as there is often a chance to see a cruising pelagic out in the blue, but without doubt the best part of the Drop-Off is the shallow area near the point where the huge gorgonian fans and deep red barrel sponges are simply stunning.
The presence of so many big gorgonian fans is always a sign of strong current flows, which can make this a challenging area of the Drop-Off to dive without damaging the beautiful things you have come to see!

Crystal Bay
Crystal Bay is a very good dive site in Bali but reserved to experienced divers as the current can be quite strong and downward. It is the place to look for the famous Mola Mola in Nusa Penida (oceanic sunfish) during the season (August to October). The coral is also very beautiful around 15 to 20 m but to have a chance to find the mola mola you will have to go down deeper around 30 m. |
